Hello ,
Almost no one in the roofing industry has remained immune to the seemingly endless supply chain woes caused by the global pandemic. The now familiar game of longer wait-times and increasing material costs has contractors and distributors alike searching for answers.
Lead-times are being stretched into the second quarter of 2022 making it difficult to manage customer expectations and keep crews busy. Most forecasters agree that prices are likely to remain volatile and shortages of many key materials will continue to result in delays for months to come. We are seeing this again as oil prices continue to
increase.
So, what does this really mean for the roofing industry? Will customers and contractors be forced to wait out an unforeseeable end to this crisis? Or will greater focus be paid to available product substitutions and alternative methods of getting the job done?
